The Morgan County Chapter Endowed Scholarship was established in 1986 from gifts given by the Morgan County Chapter of the University of Alabama National Alumni Association. In 2006 the name of the scholarship was changed to the John A. Caddell Scholarship. 

Christopher Richardson, from Decatur was awarded the $1000.00 scholarship in 2006.
